Typical Schedule for Hunting Trip

Your day starts really early, usually before the sun comes up. The guides will get everyone up, grab a quick breakfast, and get ready to head out. Being set up before daylight is important, since animals like elk, bears, and turkeys are most active right at first light.
From there, you will head out to your hunting spot. Depending on the area, this could mean hiking, driving, or even riding into more remote locations. Elk hunts might include spot-and-stalk, calling, or moving quietly through timber and open ground. For turkey and bear, you might spend more time calling, glassing, or setting up in areas where animals are known to be active. This early part of the day is usually one of the best chances to see and take a shot at game.
As the day goes on and animals slow down, things adjust a bit. Midday is often used for glassing hillsides, scouting new areas, checking trail cameras, or just taking a break to eat lunch and recharge. Guides use this time to figure out what is working and make a plan for the rest of the day.
In the afternoon, you will head back out for another hunt. This is another great time, especially for elk and bear, since animals start moving again to feed. You will stay out until dark, staying patient and ready in case something happens fast.
After hunting hours are over, you will head back to camp or where you are staying. Evenings usually include dinner, relaxing, and talking about how the day went while planning for the next morning. If someone gets an animal, the evening might turn into tracking, field dressing, and getting the meat ready to take home.

Typical Schedule for Fishing Trip

Your day starts early, so you have the best chance at catching fish. We will meet at our slip in South Beach Marina in Newport, Oregon, with everything ready to go. After a brief check-in and getting settled, we will head out right at daylight. Being out early helps us take advantage of calmer water and when fish are most active. It also means fewer boats on the water and better fishing, setting you up for a fun and productive day on the water.
From there, the rest of the day is based on the season, ocean conditions, and where the fish are biting the most. We stay flexible so we can switch things up if needed, whether that means moving spots, adjusting depth, or trying different techniques. The main goal is to put you in the best spot possible to catch fish and have a successful day.
No matter your experience level, we keep things simple and easy to understand. If you are new to saltwater fishing, we will show you everything step by step: how to use the gear and what to do when you get a bite. If you have fished before, you will like the hands-on style and steady action. Either way, you will be involved the whole time, making it a fun and easygoing day out on the water.
